OUR PROCESS
FINANCIAL THERAPY
Money is inherently an emotional experience. Financial therapy is a research-informed process to help you change the way you think, feel, and behave around money. Our work helps individuals, couples, and families as they work through this emotional and psychological process.
FINANCIAL COUNSELING
Money requires certain skills to succeed in building your financial life. Knowing how to create a spending plan, use credit effectively, and understanding the impact of debt are all crucial to long-term financial health. Your journey with us may include some financial education and training in these areas.
FINANCIAL PLANNING
While we interact with money every day, we also need to prepare for our long-term futures. Financial health across the lifespan requires conversations around retirement, goals, and actual numbers of what it will take to achieve those dreams. Working with a financial planner is a big part of building that financial health.
WHAT TO EXPECT
1
INITIAL CONSULTATION
You will meet with our Founder and Financial Therapist Nate Astle to go over your concerns and challenges you are seeking help for. You and Nate will then come up with the best plan of action for you and go over logistics of working with us.
2
WORKING INSIDE OUT
Although everyone's needs are different, we generally recommend some cadence of regular financial therapy sessions to work on the emotional and relational apsects of money and identify mental blocks to change. We also recommend concurrent financial counseling sessions to build tolerance for basic money management skills and behavior. This first stage of change is typically 2-3 months long.
3
PLAN AND EXECUTE
When you feel comfortable making a long-term plan, you will meet with one of our financial planners to go over some of your more long-term goals including retirement, long-term saving, etc. This whole process is tailored for you and your needs. We don't sell any products or try to push any solution on you. This is your money journey, and we are honored to be a part of it.
